Friday 11th, Lunch time for Busy Busy playgroup during their visit to Bristol Zoo. Feeding time for the seals was particularly enjoyed by the children along with the spider monkeys. Busy Bees visit Bristol Zoo, click for a bigger picture.

Saturday 26th, the new boundary stone unveiling. At 11 O'clock Matthew Riddle, chairman of the Jubilee Committee opened proceedings explaining that the boundary stone commemorates Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee last year and the various community activities that took place in Oldbury-on-Severn. He also thanked Hansons plc. of Tytherington Quarry for the gift of the 4½ ton stone, delivery and engraving before handing over to Miss Till who unveiled the stone. Miss Till, a long time resident who originally arrived at Oldbury Pill by boat a from across the river, celebrated her 100th birthday this week. Light refreshments were provided afterwards in the Memorial Hall.
