1. Let us celebrate together
All that make community.
Here we share our village story
Love and life and liberty.

2. Farming, fishing, making, building
Knapps and Allens, Staleys, Greys.
Clarkes and Gazzards, Rugmans, Riddles
Intertwine thir family trees.

3. Phips and Keedwells weave their stories
Jones and Kempster, Welsh and Till.
Back in time the roots go deeply,
Hedges, Hughes, Wilcox and Hall.

4. Let us celebrate together
Art and craft, and work and play.
Fun and joy and struggling labour
We affirm this holy day.

5. Writing, sewing, painting, dancing,
Music-making in the choir.
Acting, singing, sculpting, making
Burning with creative fire.

6. God is our village story
Present in each family tre.
God is in the love and struggle
Of our creativity.

Please don't grieve or take offence.
