Harvest Festival at S.Arilda's, click for a bigger picture. The Harvest Festival service was held at S.Arilda's on the evening of Sunday 5th. Children brought up offerings representing sections of the local community; produce for the farmers, nets and putchers for the fishermen, bread for the bakers, bulbs and batteries for the power station, and a laptop computer for the local IT industries. The flower arrangers had been particularly busy and the church was beautifully decorated for the service.
Saturday 18th October was working party day down at the Westmarsh Lane Pavilion. There was a great turnout; Alan, Alex, Andrew, Colin, Emily, Gerald, Ian, Jim, Lucienne, Michael, Mike and Neil. The kitchen and loo were painted, pipes boxed in and the main hall ceiling was repaired. Many thanks to all those that helped, well done!
